The objective of this research workshop is to provide an interactive platform for facilitating discussion of successful completion of research projects and publication of the work in target journals. This research workshop will address the following issues:
Identification of interesting and important research questions
Utilization of appropriate psychological theories as the theoretical framework for developing hypotheses with empirical tension
Experimental research design - successful manipulation of independent variables and measurement of dependent, mediating, moderating, and other variables
Design of questions in a research instrument to enhance data quality
Data quality issues
Use of appropriate statistical techniques for analyzing data
Interpretation of results and formation of reliable conclusions based on the findings
Publication in target journals

Dr. Siew Chan
Dr. Siew H. Chan is an Associate Professor at Mike Cottrell College of Business, University of North Georgia, USA. Dr. Chan has embedded experimental tasks in computerized programs and online/paper research instruments to examine various behavioral research issues on accounting, business, and information systems. She has published articles in Decision Sciences, Information and Management, International Journal of Information Management, Journal of Information Systems, International Journal of Accounting Information Systems, International Journal of Accounting and Information Management, Information and Computer Security, Journal of Computer Information Systems, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Accounting Education, Journal of Governmental and Nonprofit Accounting, Journal of Forensic & Investigative Accounting, Review of Accounting & Finance, Advances in Accounting Behavioral Research, Journal of Enterprise Information Management, Review of Business Information Systems, and International Journal of Applied Management and Technology. Dr. Chan is the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Services and Standards and Research Topic Editor of Frontiers in Psychology. She also serves on the editorial board of International Journal of Accounting and Information Management.
Dr. Qian Song
Dr. Qian Song is an Associate Professor at Saunders College of Business, Rochester Institute of Technology, USA. Her research interests include auditor fraud risk assessments, responsibility judgment, cultural factors influencing auditor-client negotiation, human-computer interaction, etc. Dr. Song has published a book chapter and articles in Decision Sciences, Information and Management, Computers in Human Behavior, Journal of Accounting Education, International Journal of Accounting and Information Management and Journal of Forensic and Investigative Accounting. Dr. Song is the Associate Editor of International Journal of Services and Standards. She was the Forensic Accounting Section liaison for the American Accounting Association Annual Meeting 2017.
