I started my research journey in ultrafast exciton many-body interactions of nanostructured materials. I have experience in pump-probe spectroscopy and low-temperature photoluminesce (PL) spectroscopy to study quasi-particle dynamics. Apart from that, I have investigated basic nonlinear optical properties using Z-scan method. Motivated by the extraordinary optoelectronic properties of transition metal dichalcogenide materials I am planning to explore valley physics of these 2D materials which have quantum information processing applications. As our laboratory is well equiped with cryogenic PL and TCSPC systems, we can carefully calculate the degree of valley polarization. Also, I am involved in the study of nonlinear ionization for insulators. Modeling the transmitted data I hope that our intensity and pulse width dependent analysis will reveal the possible ionization mechanisms.
