Logo Showcase and Selection Event - June 2025

Welcome to the IISc Mphasis Research Lab Logo Design Competition 2025!

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Mphasis F1 Foundation, invites you to participate in a prestigious competition to design the official logo for the Mphasis Research Lab for Sustainable Solutions, located within the IISc campus.

This competition aims to engage talented students and professionals across India in capturing the core values of our research lab—sustainability and financial inclusivity—through a meaningful and impactful logo design. The winners will receive cash prizes of ₹20,000 for first place, ₹15,000 for second place, and ₹10,000 for third place, along with certificates for both the winners and shortlisted participants.

Carefully review the details below and submit your most creative and thoughtful designs. The last date for your entry is April 30, 2025.

About the Mphasis Research Lab

The Mphasis Research Lab for Sustainable Solutions at IISc Bengaluru, in collaboration with the Mphasis F1 Foundation, focuses on solving real-world challenges in sustainability and financial inclusion using science, technology, and policy.

The lab leverages AI-driven innovations to create financial literacy tools for underserved communities and develop green technologies that promote sustainable business practices. Through research and innovation, it aims to build a more inclusive and sustainable future.

Competition guidelines

Open to students and professionals across India.
Register using the QR code or link provided on the poster or this link.
Fill out the registration form and upload your logo designs within the same form.
Each participant can submit up to 3 logo designs.
Logos should strictly adhere to the provided theme.
The file name of the logo design should be: logo_firstname_lastname.
Logos must be original and free from provocative or inappropriate content.
No infringement on third-party Intellectual Property Rights.
The logo must be designed by the participant and submitted as an individual project (no team entries).
Plagiarism will not be tolerated—only original work will be accepted.
Participants must adhere to all competition guidelines and conditions.
Selected entries will be notified personally through your registered contact information and published on our official website later.

Logo specifications

Logo theme: The logo should reflect the mission of the Mphasis Research Lab for Sustainable Solutions at IISc Bengaluru. It should represent sustainability, financial inclusion, and the use of science, technology, and AI-driven innovations to create a better, more sustainable future. All these aspects should be incorporated into the logo.
The logo should creatively incorporate ideas related to sustainability, financial inclusion, and technology.
Participants should upload the logo in JPEG or PDF format only.
The logo can be designed using any software or in your preferred style.
Participants should not include imprints or watermarks on the logo design.
The logo cannot be a collage.
The logo can be designed in colour.
No animation effects should be applied to the logo.
Any type of background is acceptable for the logo.

Evaluation criteria

All entries will undergo preliminary evaluation by a committee.
Entries will be judged based on the following criteria: novelty (20%), relevance (40%), simplicity (20%), and versatility (20%).
The decision of the Selection Committee will be final and binding on all participants. No clarifications will be provided regarding any decisions.

Logo Showcase and Selection Event - June 2025

The logo design competition held in April received over 700 entries from across India, including submissions from students and working professionals. After a thorough review process, the top 20 logos have been shortlisted for the final round. In this round, the selected logos will be showcased, and the judges will choose the winning design.

The event is open to all, and attendees can also vote for their favorite logos.
