On 22 August at 6:00 pm, the choir performed to celebrate Ukraine's Independence Day for the second time since last year. The performance took place in the White Hall of the House of the Blackheads. It is worth mentioning that the concert was organised by the Congress of Ukrainians of Estonia in cooperation with the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Estonia.
The concert programme performed by Chamber Choir Pattern, celebrates the heritage of Ukrainian and Estonian choral music. Two great composers are celebrating jubilees this year: Veljo Tormis (95th anniversary) and Ihоr Shamo (100th anniversary). The concert will feature Veljo Tormis' choral cycle for the Midsummer Day celebration, Jaanialulud (Songs of Midsummer Day), as well as excerpts from Igor Shamo's choral opera Yatranski Ihry (Ятранські ігри, Yatranski Games), featuring choral scenes from folk life of two nations.
