The Bachelor of Labour Management (BLM) is an undergraduate degree designed to equip students with knowledge and skills in labour relations, human resource management, industrial laws, and workplace management.

Bachelor of Labour Management (BLM) Admission Guide

1. Entry Qualifications

To be eligible, applicants must meet all the following criteria:

Academic Qualifications:
- Passed G.C.E. A-Level in four subjects (if before 2000) or three subjects (after 2000) in a single sitting, or
- Hold a Diploma equivalent to SLQF Level 3 (from IHRA or any recognized institute), or
- Completed the Diploma in Labour Education offered by IHRA. ihra.cmb.ac.lk+1
Age Requirement: At least 22 years old
Work Experience: Must be employed or self-employed with at least two years of work experience by May 5, 2025. Self-employed applicants must provide official business registration and verification from the Grama Niladhari/divisional secretary. ihra.cmb.ac.lk
Selection Criteria: Pass IHRA’s selection examination and/or interview assessing academic ability and readiness. ihra.cmb.ac.lk

2. Course Fee

A registration fee of LKR 20,000 is required to enroll in the BLM program. Note that most program costs are subsidized by the government. ihra.cmb.ac.lk

3. How to Apply

Application Submission is exclusively online via the IHRA website (under “Academic Programs” or “Latest News”). ihra.cmb.ac.lk
After submitting the application form, forward a copy via email to blm@ihra.cmb.ac.lk. ihra.cmb.ac.lk
Required Documents to upload (PDF format):
- Service certificate for employed applicants, or business registration + Grama Niladhari confirmation for self-employed applicants.
- Application fee receipt (LKR 2,000).
- G.C.E. A-Level certificate.
- Birth certificate.
