Ignacio Ortuño Ortín

Welcome to my website. 

I am a Professor of Economics at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid.

I completed my Ph.D. in Economics at the University of California Davis and I earned a  Bachelor’s degree in Economics at Universitat Autonoma de Barcelona.  I am interested in the field of  Public Economics, Political Economy, and Microeconomics. My current research focuses on understanding the dynamics of intergenerational socioeconomic mobility, and the use of data from social media in economic and social problems.
