Call for Papers

Abstracts should be submitted in PDF format via EasyAbs.

The Incontro di Grammatica Generativa is the annual Italian conference on generative linguistics, now at its 48th edition. IGG48 will be hosted by Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia (DILEF) of the University of Firenze, on February 16th-18th 2023 (on site only).

For the main conference, we invite abstracts for 30-minute talks (+ 10 minutes for discussion) or for posters from all domains of formal linguistics, with special emphasis on formal phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics and pragmatics.

As part of this year's Incontro a Workshop will be held on themes of 'Language variation, language change and linguistic contact'. No specific submissions are open for the workshop though papers on these topics will be welcome in the general session. The official language is English.

Submission guidelines

Abstracts should be anonymous and no longer than two pages A4, including references and examples, with 2.5 cm margins, font size 12, single-spaced.

Submissions are limited to a maximum of one individual and one joint abstract per author; it will not be possible to introduce changes in authorship after submission. Please indicate in your submission whether your paper is to be considered for oral or poster presentation. Abstracts should be submitted in PDF format through EasyAbs.
