What IGAutomate Does

IGAutomate is a Chrome extension that automates Instagram interactions (likes, comments, follows, stories) directly in your browser.

Data Collection & Transmission

IGAutomate prioritizes your privacy. Most data is processed locally. However, for licensing and security purposes, the following non-personal data is transmitted to our secure management server:

• Unique Device Identifier (Device ID): An anonymized, non-personally identifiable UUID generated upon installation to manage your 36-hour trial and prevent license abuse.

• Trial Status and Timestamps: Records of when your trial started and technical logs of license validation checks.

• Security Logs: Anonymized alerts regarding unauthorized attempts to bypass licensing (such as fraudulent trial resets).

IMPORTANT: We do NOT collect or transmit your Instagram activity, messages, followers, or profile data. All automation data stays on your device.

What We Access

• Your Google email: Used solely for license verification via our payment processor (Stripe).

• Device Identifiers: Generated solely for trial management and synchronized via your Google Chrome Profile (chrome.storage.sync) to persist across reinstalls of the same account.

• Instagram page content: Read locally to perform automation actions you initiate. This content is NEVER transmitted to external servers.

Third-Party Services

• Stripe (stripe.com): Processes payments securely.

• Google Apps Script & Google Sheets: Used as a back-end database to securely manage trial periods and handle license verification logs. Google's Privacy Policy

• Cloudflare Workers: Hosts our payment verification endpoint.

Data Storage

• Local Storage: Your settings and preferences are stored using chrome.storage.local.

• Cloud Sync: Your anonymous Device ID and trial start date are stored using chrome.storage.sync, which is linked to your Google Account.

• Server Side: Trial identifiers are stored in a secured Google Sheet for the purpose of managing trial periods and fraud prevention.

Permissions Explained

• activeTab / tabs: Required to interact with Instagram pages you're viewing.

• storage: Save your local preferences and trial identifiers.

• identity: Retrieve your Google email for license verification.

• alarms: Schedule automated tasks.
