Salam!
I am Md. Hasib Ur Rashid (Ifti), a passionate researcher about power systems engineering and a lecturer at the department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) in Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). I completed my B.Sc. from the department of EEE at BUET and graduated 2nd in class. I am currently enrolled in the M.Sc. program here at EEE, BUET. After completing my M.Sc., I want to pursue my PhD in Power Systems Stability and Power Systems Planning and Optimization.
Between my part-time Masters hustle and full time job as a faculty member here at my alma mater, I am keenly focused on my research on power systems stability. My undergraduate thesis focused on modelling the Northern grid of Bangladesh based on actual data and finding a suitable techno-economically efficient solution to fix the severe under-voltage issue in that region of Bangladesh. My postgraduate research focuses on fairness-aware photovoltaic generation limits for voltage regulation in power distribution networks.
As a lecturer, I have taught theory and sessional courses on topics ranging from electrical machineries to power systems and much more.
When I'm not focusing on academia, I spend my time reading non-fiction and writing articles for The Daily Star, the largest English national newspaper in the country. As a contributing writer for The Daily Star, I have more than 100 by-lines under my belt.
If you're looking for active collaborations or have any queries about my work, feel free to reach me out at my Email.
