Format
The presenters are PhD students in the research active stage of their program working broadly in the area of financial economics.
The seminars are held on Zoom and last 60 minutes:
First 5 minutes uninterrupted with the exception of clarifying questions
Questions permitted afterwards
If the seminar has a scheduled discussant, the format is 45 minutes presentation, 10 minutes discussion, 5 minutes Q&A. Questions are still permitted after the first 5 minutes.
During the first five minutes presentation everyone will be muted and all questions will be limited to clarifying questions. After the first five minutes audience should feel free to jump in and ask questions verbally by unmuting. Should the speaker desire it, the moderator may make a recording of the zoom presentation available afterwards, so long as everyone in the zoom audience permits it. Further Q&A for more detailed questions/feedback after the presentation is also encouraged.
