Greetings, 

On behalf of the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions, Latin American and Caribbean Regional Division (IFLA LAC), we cordially invite all librarians, archivists, museum staff, information specialists, exhibitors, and other information professionals to attend the Advocacy Seminar: Transforming and Empowering Libraries in Latin America and the Caribbean.

 This seminar will take place on March 1, 2023 at the Center for Puerto Rico, Sila M. Calderón Foundation, in San Juan from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.

The celebration of this event arises due to the selection of Puerto Rico as the host country of the IFLA LAC Mid-Term Meeting that will take place on February 27 and 28, 2023, at the Center for Puerto Rico, Sila Foundation M. Calderon. We will receive representatives from Latin America and the Caribbean.

Keep in mind the following agenda for the three days:

• On February 27, the Welcome Ceremonies will be held from 8:30 am to 9:00 am at the Library of the Center for Puerto Rico.

• On February 27 and 28, IFLA LAC members will hold the Mid-Term Meeting (closed meeting).

• During February 27 and 28, a Database Showcase will take place where companies will present every half hour about their products and their management. You can view the promotion and the program at the following link: https://sites.google.com/view/iflalacpr/showcase?authuser=0.

• During the three days, we will have tables of exhibitors who can visit and simultaneously participate in the draw for 3rd generation Apple AirPods by completing the exhibitors' passports that will be provided during registration. A passport will be issued to the first 200 people who attend.

We hope this meeting will allow spaces for knowledge and collaboration among information professionals from Latin America and the Caribbean.
