CLIPITRA DIGITAL SERVICES LLP (“we,” “us,” or “our”) provides iFiles OS (“the app”). This Privacy Policy explains how information is accessed, used, stored, and shared when you use the app.
With your permission, the app accesses files and folders in supported device storage. This includes file contents, filenames, folder paths, file types, sizes, and modification dates.
This access enables file browsing, searching, organization, previews, text editing, media playback, archive compression and extraction, deletion, restoration, and transfers.
Files may contain personal or sensitive information that you have stored on your device. Ordinary file management, previews, and media playback are processed locally.
The app also stores:
Preferences: Appearance, sorting, viewing, and other app settings.
Favorites: Paths of files or folders you mark as favorites.
FTP connections: Saved server names, addresses, ports, usernames, passwords where provided, and connection timestamps.
Recently Deleted information: Deleted files and records needed to restore them, including their original locations and deletion dates.
Temporary files: Cached copies created for certain operations.
The app does not automatically send your files, file listings, or usage activity to servers operated by us.
The current app does not include advertising, analytics, tracking, or cloud crash-reporting SDKs. You do not need to create an app account.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you provide. We use this information to respond to your inquiry and resolve support issues. Please avoid sending passwords or unnecessary sensitive files.
We do not sell your personal information.
Depending on your device and operating system version, the app uses the following permissions:
Storage and All files access: To browse and manage supported files and folders, including reading, creating, editing, copying, moving, and deleting them.
Internet and network access: To connect to FTP servers and provide file transfers.
Local network access: On supported operating system versions, permission is requested when you start FTP sharing or connect to a server. This enables communication with devices on your local network.
Wireless network information: To identify network availability and display connection details, such as the local sharing address and available network name.
Foreground services and notifications: To support active FTP sharing and user-initiated background audio playback. Notifications may display an audio filename or sharing address, subject to your device’s notification settings.
You can manage permissions through device settings. Denying or revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working.
Files can leave your device when you use a transfer or sharing feature.
Connecting to an FTP server: Your device communicates directly with the server you select. That server receives connection information, login credentials where required, and files you upload. Its operator may retain files or connection records under its own policies.
Running the FTP sharing server: Starting the server makes the configured shared storage accessible to connecting clients. Depending on your settings, clients may browse, download, upload, modify, or delete accessible files. Enabling anonymous access permits connections without a personal login.
Sharing or opening files in another app: The selected app receives access to the file needed to perform your requested action. Its privacy policy governs its subsequent use of that information.
We do not control external apps, devices, servers, or their retention practices.
Preferences, saved connections, and Recently Deleted records are stored in the app’s private device storage. Files managed in shared storage remain in their respective storage locations.
Saved FTP passwords are not separately encrypted by the app. Standard FTP does not encrypt login credentials or transferred file contents.
Use FTP with trusted networks, devices, and servers. Stop the sharing server when you finish, and avoid transmitting sensitive information through unencrypted connections.
No storage or transmission method can guarantee absolute security.
The app allows operating system backup and device transfer.
Depending on your device, backup settings, provider, and applicable limits, eligible app data may be backed up or transferred to another device. This may include preferences, favorites, saved FTP credentials, and eligible Recently Deleted files and records.
Your operating system and backup provider control these backups. We do not receive them.
Shared-storage files: These remain until you delete or move them. Uninstalling the app does not normally remove them.
Recently Deleted: Files moved to this area are retained locally for restoration. The app checks for and removes items older than 30 days when it loads the trash index. You can permanently delete items or empty this area earlier.
Preferences and saved connections: These remain until removed, replaced, or cleared with the app’s stored data.
Temporary files: Cached files may remain until cleared by the app, operating system, or you through device settings.
Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app generally removes its private local data, including saved credentials and files still held in Recently Deleted. Restore any files you need before doing so.
Copies already transferred, shared, or backed up are managed separately. Deleting a local copy does not automatically delete those copies.
Support correspondence is retained as needed to handle your inquiry and meet applicable legal obligations. You may contact us to request its deletion.
You can:
Manage or revoke device permissions.
Choose whether to use FTP transfers and sharing.
Stop the FTP sharing server.
Remove saved server connections and favorites.
Delete files, empty Recently Deleted, or clear app data.
Uninstall the app.
The app does not provide developer-hosted user accounts, so there is no app account to delete.
For privacy inquiries or requests concerning information you have sent directly to us, use the contact details below.
We may update this policy when the app or its information-handling practices change. Updates will be published with a revised effective date. Additional notice or consent will be provided where required.
