Philippe Brunet is Chargé de Recherches CNRS, and works at the Laboratoire Matière et Systèmes Complexes (MSC), of the Université de Paris. He completed his PhD in 2002 on the free-surface instabilities and spatio-temporal chaos of liquids flowing from overhangs. After post-doctoral experience at KTH-Stockholm and at the University of Bristol between 2003 and 2007, he was recruited at CNRS in 2007. His main topics are on hydrodynamics and soft matter, in particular in acoustofluidics in droplets and microfluidics geometries, dynamical wetting on complex surfaces and with phase-change phenomena, complex fluids, and more recently on flows of active fluids with suspensions of micro swimmers. He co-authored about 50 articles in peer-reviewed international journals.
