Phase 1 - Branching Narrative Outline

Use the following step-by-step instructions to create an outline for a time cave-style branching narrative story. Reference the attachment while creating the branching narrative outline. Write the outline in a new document.

Step 1 - Reference the attachment to see who is the protagonist.

Step 2 - Reference the attachment to see where does the story take place.

Step 3 - Reference the attachment to see what is the plot of the story.

Step 4 - Reference the attachment to see if there is a theme to the story.

Step 5 - Set the number of unique endings to eight.

Step 6 - Set the number of decision points in a single path to three.

Step 7 - Make sure that the player is presented with two choices of what to do next at each decision point.

Step 8 - At each decision point, describe what is happening in the story at that moment — what the protagonist sees, feels, or notices — before listing the choices.

Step 9 - Make sure that only one path can lead to one unique ending.

Step 10 - Make sure that each path has a coherent progression of events.

Step 11 - Make sure that each ending has either a good or bad resolution.

Step 12 - Indicate which choices lead to which ending.

Step 13 - Create an outline with the following structure and format:

Structure:

-Section 1 is the first decision point.

-Section 2 is the second decision point.

-Section 3 is the third decision point.

-Section 4 is a list and description of all the endings.

Format:

-Label all the decision points with a number. For example, the first decision point = 1.

-Label all the choices with a number followed by a capital letter. The number here refers to the specific decision point where this choice becomes available. The letter is unique to the choice. For example, 1A is a choice available in the first decision point.

-Show the choices that lead to a specific ending like this : 1B -> 2C -> 3H.
