1ª MOVILIDAD (KICK - OFF MEETING) CITTÀ DI CASTELLO –ITALIA

"MONTESSORI EN LA FORMACIÓN PROFESIONAL"

 “Montessori in the VET” es una asociación estratégica en la que se estudiará la viabilidad de aplicar el método Montessori a la Formación Profesional. Este método se viene aplicando en educación primaria y secundaria con bastante éxito y con este proyecto veremos las conexiones con la Formación Profesional y su posible implementación. En el proyecto participamos Centros Educativos de Italia, Letonia, Bulgaria, Portugal y España.

Desde el 9 Febrero al 12 Febrero de 2020, los socios del proyecto han celebrado la primera reunión de coordinación del proyecto en las instalaciones del socio promotor y coordinador del mismo, el Instituto de Enseñanza ASP G. O. Bufalini, de Città di Castello, localidad donde se inició el desarrollo del Método Montessori.

El meeting inicial para el proyecto Erasmus+ “Montessori in the VET” ha consistido, de forma resumida, como sigue:

  - Puesta en escena y explicación del proyecto por parte del partner promotor del mismo.

  -  Se han establecido tanto las líneas generales de actuación, las fechas de las distintas reuniones en el resto de países, así como el procedimiento de valoración de su aplicación mediante los indicadores europeos de calidad.

  - Paralelamente se han realizado visitas culturales relacionadas con el método Montessori, ya que en esta localidad es donde se inició dicho método con la iniciativa de una pareja de aristócratas altruistas y el buen hacer de la Dra. María Montessori que fue su inventora y desarrolladora en la primera década del Siglo XX.

Podemos concluir afirmando que la experiencia ha sido muy positiva, ya que nos estimula a realizar un análisis de nuestra práctica docente y valorar la posibilidad de modificar alguna parte en nuestro método de enseñanza habitual.

ENGLISH VERSION: 'MONTESSORI IN THE VET'

"Montessori in VET" is a strategic partnership that will study the feasibility of applying the Montessori Method to vocational training. This method has been successfully applied in primary and secondary education, and with this project, we will explore the connections with vocational training and its possible implementation. Educational centers from Italy, Latvia, Bulgaria, Portugal, and Spain are participating in the project.

From February 9 to February 12, 2020, the project partners held the first coordination meeting at the facilities of the promoting and coordinating partner, the ASP G. O. Bufalini Institute of Education in Città di Castello, where the development of the Montessori Method began.

The initial meeting for the Erasmus+ project "Montessori in VET" consisted, in summary, of the following:

• Presentation and explanation of the project by the promoting partner.

• The general lines of action were established, as well as the dates of the different meetings in the rest of the countries, and the procedure for assessing its application using European quality indicators.

• Cultural visits related to the Montessori Method were also carried out, as this is the town where the method began with the initiative of a pair of altruistic aristocrats and the expertise of Dr. Maria Montessori, who invented and developed the method in the first decade of the 20th century.

We can conclude by stating that the experience has been very positive, as it encourages us to analyze our teaching practice and consider the possibility of modifying some parts of our usual teaching method.
