The GenAI-XR workshop aims at exploring the intersection of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) and Extended Reality (XR), examining their combined potential to revolutionize various sectors including entertainment, education, factory work, healthcare, and architecture. The workshop will provide a platform for researchers, industry professionals, and practitioners to discuss innovative methods of integrating GenAI into XR environments, enhancing immersive experiences, and personalizing interactions in real time. Through presentation and discussion sessions, participants will gain insights into the latest developments, challenges, and future directions at the intersection of GenAI and XR.
Researchers are invited to submit research papers and extended abstracts about technical artifacts at the intersection of GenAI and XR. The workshop welcomes both technical papers, work-in-progress position papers, as well as demos in the areas including, but not limited to:
AI models in generating XR content (text, images, videos, 3D models, soundscapes, virtual environments, etc.);
XR (spatial computing) input to GenAI models;
XR (spatial computing) in consumption of GenAI output;
Virtual environments for training AI models;
Combination of AI and XR for augmented intelligence;
Generative AI and language models in virtual environments, interaction of virtual agents;
Applications and use cases;
Industry relevance;
Ethical and societal implications.
The workshop will take place on March 8 (Time: 8:30-12:30 CET), co-located with IEEE VR 2025 in Saint-Malo, France. Conference website: https://ieeevr.org/2025/
