Advances in entertainment technologies have long been shaped by the evolving relationship between computation, interaction, and human creativity. From early computer-based media and games to contemporary interactive and immersive systems, entertainment practices have continuously adapted to new technological paradigms and modes of engagement.
In recent years, the growing integration of artificial intelligence, interactive systems, and intelligent machines has further transformed how entertainment experiences are created, performed, and perceived. AI-driven approaches now support the generation and control of sound, music, motion, visuals, and behavior, while interactive systems enable real-time engagement across virtual, physical, and hybrid environments. These developments span domains such as music and sound, games, immersive media, interactive installations, and autonomous performative systems, including robots capable of expressive motion and dance.
At the same time, entertainment systems are increasingly moving beyond purely software-based approaches. Many contemporary projects involve physical interfaces, sensing technologies, embodied interaction, and physically situated or robotic systems. These developments raise important questions about embodiment, interaction, agency, autonomy, perception, and liveness, as well as about how intelligent systems participate in creative and expressive processes.
This workshop focuses on these emerging questions by bringing together researchers, engineers, artists, and practitioners working at the intersection of artificial intelligence, robotics, mechatronics, and interactive systems, with a focus on entertainment-oriented applications. It aims to provide a forum in which technical research, experimental systems, and creative practice can be discussed side by side, without privileging a single methodological or disciplinary perspective.
Rather than limiting contributions to finalized results or traditional paper-based research, the workshop encourages the presentation of early-stage ideas, experimental systems, interactive installations, instruments, devices, and ongoing projects, alongside more established academic work. Particular emphasis is placed on interaction, embodiment, and human-centered perspectives, as well as on the creative and experiential dimensions of intelligent musical systems.
By fostering dialogue across AI, robotics, interactive systems, music and sound, immersive media, and creative practice, the workshop seeks to support cross-disciplinary exchange and to contribute to a broader understanding of how interactive and intelligent systems are reshaping entertainment systems.
Statement of objectives:
This workshop aims to explore entertainment technologies in relation to interactive and intelligent systems, with a particular focus on how humans engage with expressive, performative, and immersive experiences through technology. As artificial intelligence, interactive platforms, and robotic or physically situated systems increasingly participate in the creation, performance, and mediation of entertainment experiences, new questions emerge regarding interaction, embodiment, autonomy, and creative agency. The workshop provides an open interdisciplinary space to discuss interactive entertainment systems, ranging from AI-based content generation and autonomous behaviors to systems involving sensing, actuation, physical interfaces, and robotic elements. Rather than promoting a single technical approach, the workshop emphasizes creative and experiential processes, interaction modalities, embodied experience, and human-centered perspectives. It encourages dialogue between researchers and practitioners in AI, robotics, interactive systems, immersive media, game design, music and sound, and creative practice.

Contributions from the community are invited on topics related to music technology, computer music, and interactive or intelligent systems, broadly defined.
This workshop is non-archival. Accepted papers and demo abstracts will be made available on the workshop website but will not be formally published or archived. Submissions that are under review or intended for submission to other venues are welcome.
Original papers of up to 4 pages (excluding references) are invited on topics relevant to the workshop scope. Submissions may present theoretical, empirical, or practice-based research, including early-stage ideas, preliminary results, system designs, or exploratory studies.
All accepted papers will be presented during a poster and discussion session. A small number of papers may be selected for short oral spotlight presentations (approximately 10 minutes).
The paper review process will be double-blind.
Demo submissions presenting interactive music systems, instruments, devices, installations, or artistic works are invited. Each demo submission should be accompanied by a 2-page extended abstract (excluding references) describing the concept, technical setup, and artistic or research contribution.
Authors are encouraged to submit optional supplementary materials, such as images, audio/video documentation, or a short video recording (up to 10 minutes) demonstrating the system or work.
All accepted demos will be presented in a poster and demo session, with space allocated for interaction and discussion.
The demo review process will be single-blind, reflecting the diverse and practice-based nature of demo contributions.

Submissions should be formatted using the conference-provided template specified by the main conference.
Papers:
Use the appropriate workshop paper format as indicated by the conference.
Submissions must be anonymized for double-blind review.
Demos:
Demo abstracts should follow the same template, using single-blind settings where applicable.
Technical appendices and supplementary materials (e.g., audio, video, code, documentation) may be included. Reviewers are not required to consult supplementary materials but may do so at their discretion.

Round Table Discussion
A dedicated round table discussion will be organized as part of the workshop to foster cross-disciplinary exchange. Participants from diverse backgrounds, including computer science, artificial intelligence, music and sound studies, media studies, game design, engineering, biology, medicine, and creative practice, will be invited to take part.
The discussion will focus on the feasibility, opportunities, and challenges of interdisciplinary approaches to interactive and intelligent entertainment systems, providing an open and inclusive space for dialogue.
Unitree Dancing Robot
The workshop will feature a live demonstration of a Unitree robot performing an expressive dance sequence, showcasing embodied intelligence, motion control, and real-time interaction. The demonstration highlights the role of robotic performers as interactive and creative agents in entertainment systems.
