Here we have displayed the shortage of staff and aides represented by the facilities shortage index. Minnesota and Kansas are the states that faced the maximum shortage in aides and staff. California, Massachusetts, and New Jersey are few of the states that stand out and face the least shortage in medical aides and staff.
Facility Shortage Index is calculated by adding the shortage of aides, clinical staff, nursing staff and other staff, divided by 43 (total number of weeks that the shortage is faced further divided by 4 (no. of parameters the shortage is experienced in)
Referring the comparison of Shortages at a national level shown on the right, we can infer that on an average, the highest shortage is experienced to be the most for Aides, i.e. 7 weeks on an average, followed by Nursing Staff with 6 weeks on an average, then Other staff, and finally Clinical staff which experiences the least shortage with an average of 1 week.
The average shortages in Aides and Staff by number of Counties are displayed by the help of histograms and depicted above.
Here, we have listed the 10 facilities that face the most shortages in Aides and Staff.

Referring the comparison of Shortages at a national level shown on the right, we can infer that on an average, the highest shortage is experienced to be the most for N95 masks, i.e. 4 weeks on an average, followed by Eye Protection Gear and Surgical Masks, with 2 weeks on an average, then Gloves and Hand Sanitizers, and finally Ventilator which experiences no shortage at all.
Here, we have listed the 10 facilities that face the most shortages in Medical Supplies.
