Final Pitch Competition

You have TWO deliverables to prepare for the final pitch competition. Please note due dates below.

• Pre-Read Deck: Due Thursday, Mar 18th

  • Download & complete Pre-Read template

  • Upload below by 11:59 pm Thursday, Mar 18th.

• Final Pitch Presentation Deck: Due Monday, Mar 22nd

  • Finalize your presentation deck (from the Final Pitch Deck Template).

  • Upload below by 11:59 pm Monday, Mar 22nd. No changes may be made to pitch decks after submitting

• Download a copy of the "Final Pitch Deck Template" below. Complete the slides per the instructions -- make sure your pitch addresses all the questions asked throughout the deck. See example pitch decks here.

• You will have two opportunities to practice your pitch:

  • Tuesday, March 9th - you will prepare and present your 6 min verbal pitch script (what you are going to say - no slides necessary) to coaches during class.

  • Tuesday, March 16th - you will present your 6 min pitch with your pitch deck to guest coaches during class. This is a dress rehearsal of the final pitch competition, so make sure to practice with a timer and be polished! You will be cut off at the 6 minute mark. Guest coaches will provide 4 min of Q&A.

• The final pitch competition will also be attended by coaches, and family and friends of the participating teams. Invite your friends and family to attend with this link: https://ideatestlabwinter2021.eventbrite.com

• You will present your 6-minute final pitch presentation to a panel of 3 judges (see Judges information below). You will be cut off at the 6-minute mark. Judges will be allowed up to 4 minutes for Q&A.

• Once pitch presentations conclude, the judges will deliberate and select 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners and prize money allocations. You can view a sample of the judges' rubric here.

EVENT SCHEDULE

• 6 pm - Opening remarks

• 6:10 pm - 7:50 pm -- Pitch Presentation and Judge questions

• 7:50 pm - 8:30 pm -- Judges' deliberation (offline)

• 8:30 pm - Call back in for announcement of winners and awards

• Winning teams will also be announced on the Harrisburg LaunchBox Facebook page by 9 pm.
