What are the vinyl cutters available?
The Idea Lab has 2 types of vinyl cutters available to current students, staff, and faculty to use free of charge:
The Cricut Maker 3 and Cricut heat presses are available at both the North and Lakeshore campuses.
The Roland vinyl cutter is available at the Lakeshore campus only.

To book the Cricut workstation, users must first:
Step 1: Successfully complete one of the following:
our online tutorial (which takes approximately 1 hour)
our in-person workshop (approximately 2 hours).
Step 2: Reserve the Cricut workstation at North or Lakeshore.
Note: bookings will only be approved if Step 1 has been completed.
Will There Be a Test?
No, there is no test to complete or pass. However, throughout the tutorial, you will encounter knowledge checks. These are short activities that are an opportunity for you to evaluate or apply what you have learned in each section of the tutorial.
Please note: upon completion of the online tutorial or in-person "Get Certified" workshop, you will be asked to complete a Terms and Conditions form. This is used to confirm your eligibility to use the equipment.
