The news from ABC News about the Idaho nuclear waste treatment interested me, so I read further. This treatment is designed to treat 900,000 gallons or 3.4 million liters of sodium–bearing, radioactive waste with plenty of setbacks. Based on the report, it will start operating in early December. According to the manager of the Idaho Cleanup Project for the Energy Department’s Office of Environmental Management, Connie Flohr said that the Integrated Waste Treatment Unit at the department’s 890 -square-mile (2 300 square kilometers) sites, including the Idaho National Laboratory that completed the test runs with a simulant material.
