Recent Advances in Civil Engineering (ICRACE-2021)
The First International Conference on Recent Advancements in Civil Engineering (ICRACE) 2021 will be held during 17th to 19th September 2021, at National Institute of Technology Silchar. The Conference aims to bring together experts from academic, scientific and industrial communities to address new challenges, present their latest research findings, ideas, developments and perspective of the future directions in the field of Civil Engineering ICRACE 2021 invites all the researchers to participate in conference. It is one of the leading international conferences for presenting novel and fundamental advances in the fields of Civil Engineering. It also serves to foster communication among researchers and practitioners working in a wide variety of scientific areas with a common interest in improving Civil Engineering related techniques.
ABOUT THE INSTITUTE
National Institute of Technology, Silchar is one of the thirty National Institutes of Technology of India and was established in 1967 as a Regional Engineering College in Assam. In 2002 it was upgraded to the status of National Institute of Technology and was declared as Institute of National Importance under the National Institutes of Technology Act, 2007. The climate of Silchar during August is rainy with normal temperature around 30°C. NIT Silchar is a fully residential institution with ten hostels for boys, three hostels for girls and one for married scholar. It has six engineering degree offering branches and five non-engineering branches. It conducts various programmes, including organizing the workshops, seminars, conferences, invited talks etc. in collaboration with different academic departments, institutes and reputed multinational and national industries.
ABOUT CIVIL ENGINEERING DEPARMENT
The Department of Civil Engineering started its journey in 1977. Ever since the inception, it has been imparting quality education to under graduate students. The Department presently fosters five PG courses. A good number of research scholars are carrying out research in various fields. There are about a dozen laboratories with various research and testing facilities. The faculty consists of eminent specialists from diverse fields and there is commendable research ambience in the Department. The vision of the Department of Civil Engineering is to achieve unique identity by development of knowledge resources and highly competent Civil Engineers in various fields of Civil Engineering to meet local, national, and global economic and social needs. The mission of the Department of Civil Engineering is to create knowledge resources and to educate and train youths in the latest technologies in Civil Engineering, to imbibe in them human values, self confidence and independent thinking in tackling diverse problems in the field of Civil Engineering so that they can serve the country and the human society at large.
INTRODUCTION
The primary objective of this online international conference is to bring together all the professionals from academic institutions and research scholars to enhance their knowledge in utilising and solving practical problems in using the recent advances in civil engineering. In conformity of the same, in this online international conference it is focused on advances in construction techniques. To extend the service to the society and sharing the practical knowledge in the construction practices. Moreover, irrespective of industries, academia and research, it aims to do research in the field of recent advances in civil engineering with existing expertise and facilities in collaboration with other reputed institute, organization and industries.
The main aim of this online international conference is to cover a wide range of critical topics concerning the use of recent advances in civil engineering. This includes include all fields of civil engineering such as construction, geotechnical, structural, earthquake, environmental, water resources, transportation, and architectural engineering, as well as analysis and design. Aims to follow up the scientific studies and experiences gained in the developments of the innovative and sustainable construction materials and their applications in the field of concrete infrastructures, transportation engineering, especially during the last decade.

All the submitted papers will be published in the form of printed abstract in Conference Souvenir volume and from the registered & presented papers, Selected papers from the conference will be published by Springer as a proceedings book volume. Springer will conduct quality checks on the accepted papers and only papers that pass these checks will be published. This proceedings volume will be published under the book series - Lecture Notes in Civil Engineering, which is SCOPUS indexed.
