The Linguistic Society of India (LSI) Annual Conference is the premier gathering of Indian linguistics academics, professionals, scholars, and students worldwide. In 1970, the society nationally began organising annual conferences until 2012, called the "All India Conference of Linguists." Later from 2013, it was started organising the "International Conference of the Linguistic Society of India" (ICoLSI). It is an unparalleled opportunity to share research, network, and socialise with academia, industry, and government. The Annual Conference includes a few activities connected to scholarly development for linguists at all stages of their careers and contains many sessions and events of interest to young scholars and students, who make up one-third of attendees. The LSI and host institutions always have worked together to keep the ICoLSIs affordable as far as possible. The present conference organiser at Centurion University of Technology and Management (CUTM), Odisha consistently negotiates with other nearby institutions for affordable accommodation. The ICoLSI-44 registration fee, which allows complete access to all activities, are among the best bargains in the field.

Those who’ll come here never forget it; those who'll not probably repent later.
