The 20th Doctoral Consortium (DC) on Logic Programming provides students and early career researchers with the opportunity to present and discuss their research directions, obtain feedback from both peers and experts in the field, and participate in mentoring sessions on how to prepare for a research career.
In particular, the DC:
will have leaders in logic programming research, from academia and industry, to give talks on their research areas and comment on the presented works, providing valuable insights for early career researchers; and
host a Mentoring Lunch consisting of a lunch break where senior researchers share the table with students. The mentors will report their thoughts and experiences on general topics concerning research, career, and the field of logic programming in general.
Two best DC student contributions will be selected by the program committee and the DC participants. The awarded contributions will receive presentation slots during the main conference sessions, one at ICLP 2024 (October 16, 16:00-16:15) and one at LPNMR 2024 (October 14, 14:15-14:30), to be determined on the basis of the presentation topics.
The registration will be part of the ICLP 2024 main conference registration. Funding by NSF will be provided to cover (part of) the travel expenses and conference registration fees of US-based students. For students from outside the US, registration waiver and partial support for accommodation will be available for select students.
