2017/07/19. A new member joined in our group as a technical assistant.

Mission

Mission of our group is "monitoring and modeling of earth system toward better prediction of our future earth." Our approach is to integrate and synthesize of available data and models to understand earth system in more comprehensive ways. Our main target is 'terrestrial biosphere' from regional to global scales. We use network of ground observation (e.g. FLUXNET, AsiaFlux), remote sensing data, numerial models (terrestrial ecosystem models), and atmospheric observations.

For perspective students, researchers

Students

We welcome undergraduate, master, and PhD students. In our group, we will help students to (a) learn computer programming skills for data analysis, (b) conduct high-level research, (c) present results in both domestic and international conferences, and (d) write scientific papers to high-level journals. My ultimate goals to students are (a) to have high-level data analysis experience - can be applicable to other field -, (b) to get skills to find and solve problems, (c) to grow up next-generation leader in the research field. We believe researches in our group is tough, however, your experiences in our group will be irreplaceable and precious for your future.

本グループでは学生さんの加入を歓迎します。データ解析のアルバイトも歓迎します。本研究室では、様々なデータ・モデルを扱うデータ解析技術を身に着け、それらを用いて新たな研究を進めることにより、次世代のリモートセンシング分野をリードする研究者や技術者の養成を目指しています。大規模衛星データの利用、数値モデルとの統合解析などに主眼を当てて研究をし、地域~グローバルまでの様々な空間スケールを扱います。また、国内・海外問わず様々な研究グループとの共同研究も推進しています。代表的な共同研究の相手としては、国内では、海洋研究開発機構(JAMSTEC)・国立環境研究所・大阪府立大学など、国外では、ソウル大学・NASA Ames研究所(USA)・Max Planck研究所(ドイツ)などがあります。
