Special Issue of the Languages and International Studies Journal
on
Language Education during Covid-19 and Beyond: Crossroads of Pedagogy and Practice
The COVID pandemic has brought new challenges in teaching and research to education. It also has created opportunities to re-examine language education and research.
This special issue invites empirically and pedagogically-based studies of responses in language teaching and research at and post the COVID epidemic. Only papers that are presented at the 38th International conference on Language Teaching and Learning will be considered for the Special Issue. Manuscripts may focus on but are not limited to:
Language education and Intercultural Communication
Globalization and language teaching
Professional & Business communication in international business context
Bilingual education, CLIL pedagogy and foreign language/ English education
Information Communication Technology in teaching and learning
Mobile device-assisted teaching and learning
Corpus linguistics and English teaching
Language policy and curriculum development
Social-cultural issues and language teaching
Language acquisition
Language testing and assessment
Literature and English teaching
Translation studies and English teaching
Submissions should:
be no more than 8,000 words, including references, notes, and appendices.
include a title page including names of all authors and corresponding author’s contact information
indicate that the manuscript is original and is not under consideration or published elsewhere
include a list 5 key words describing the area and focus
include a 50-word biographical statement for each author
Important dates
Submissions (full manuscripts) by: July 1, 2021
Acceptances or revisions, if required by: August 31, 2021
Revisions by: October 15, 2021
Accepted revisions or further revision by: November 15, 2021
Accepted manuscripts: November 30, 2021
Scheduled publication of the issue: December 31, 2021
When submitting full paper, please also include the following in a separate page:
The title of the paper
A list of (about 5) key words describing the area and focus
The name(s) of the author(s) and affiliation(s)
The corresponding author’s e-mail address and contact details
A short biographical statement (50 words or less) for each author
