Ice Fishing ("we", "our", or " App") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our ice fishing guide application.

INFORMATION WE COLLECT

Ice Fishing is an educational application that collects minimal technical data to improve app functionality and user experience. We do not collect personal information such as names, email addresses, or phone numbers.

AUTOMATICALLY COLLECTED DATA:

• Firebase Analytics Data: We collect anonymous usage statistics including app opens, screen views, and feature usage. This data is anonymized and cannot be linked to individual users.

• AppMetrica Analytics Data: We use Yandex AppMetrica to collect anonymous usage statistics including app opens, session duration, and feature usage. This data is anonymized and cannot be linked to individual users. Data is processed according to Yandex's Privacy Policy.

• Meta SDK Analytics Data: We use Meta SDK (formerly Facebook SDK) to collect anonymous app events such as app installs and app activations. This data is used for advertising attribution and campaign optimization. No personally identifiable information is collected through Meta SDK. Data is processed according to Meta's Privacy Policy.

• Device Information: Basic technical data such as device model, operating system version, app version, and language settings.

• Advertising ID (GAID): We may collect the Google Advertising ID (GAID) to enable advertising attribution and measurement. GAID is a unique identifier provided by Google Play services that allows us to understand app installs originating from advertising campaigns. Users can reset or disable GAID in their device settings.

• Push Notification Token: If you enable notifications, we store a Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) token to send you ice fishing tips and updates. This token is device-specific and does not contain personal information.

The App does NOT:

• Collect personal identification data (name, email, phone number)

• Track your precise location or GPS coordinates

• Access your contacts, photos, or files

• Require user registration or accounts

• Store any user-generated content

• Share your data with third parties for advertising

HOW WE USE INFORMATION

The limited data we collect is used solely to:

• Improve app performance and user experience

• Understand which features are most popular

• Send optional push notifications about ice fishing tips and app updates

• Configure app settings dynamically (button links, privacy policy updates)

• Measure and optimize advertising campaigns: We use anonymous app events to understand which advertising channels drive app installs and engagement, and to optimize future ad delivery.

FIREBASE SERVICES

This App uses Google Firebase services:

• Firebase Analytics: Collects anonymous usage statistics to help us understand how the app is used and improve functionality. Data is processed according to Google's Privacy Policy.

• Firebase Cloud Messaging: Enables push notifications. You can disable notifications in your device settings at any time.

• Firebase Firestore: Downloads minimal configuration data (external links) during the first app launch. After initial download, the app works offline. No user data is uploaded to Firestore.

This App uses Yandex AppMetrica, a mobile analytics service provided by Yandex LLC:

• AppMetrica collects anonymous usage statistics such as app launches, session duration, and in-app events to help us improve app functionality.

• No personally identifiable information is collected through AppMetrica.

META SDK ANALYTICS

This App uses Meta SDK (formerly Facebook SDK), a mobile analytics service provided by Meta Platforms, Inc.:

• Meta SDK collects anonymous app events such as App Installs and App Activated to help us measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns and optimize ad delivery.

• No personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number) is collected through Meta SDK.

• The SDK may collect the Google Advertising ID (GAID) for attribution purposes. GAID can be reset or disabled in your device settings under Google → Ads.

EXTERNAL LINKS

Our App may contain a link to an external fishing equipment store. The specific URL is configured remotely and may change. When you click external links, you will be directed to third-party websites that operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external websites. We recommend reviewing their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

PERMISSIONS

Ice Fishing requests the following permissions:

• Internet Access (INTERNET): Required only during first launch to download app configuration. After initial setup, the app works fully offline.

• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS, Android 13+): Optional permission to receive push notifications about ice fishing tips and updates. You can deny this permission without affecting core app functionality.

• Advertising ID Access (AD_ID): Optional permission to access the Google Advertising ID for advertising attribution. You can disable ad personalization in your device settings under Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID.

The App does NOT request:

• Location services

• Camera access

• Storage access

• Contact access

• Photo/media access

DATA STORAGE AND RETENTION

• Local Storage: App configuration settings are cached locally on your device using SharedPreferences for offline access.

• Analytics Data: Anonymous usage data is retained by Firebase Analytics according to Google's data retention policies (typically 2–14 months, configurable). AppMetrica analytics data is retained according to Yandex's data retention policies. Meta SDK analytics data is retained according to Meta's data retention policies.

• Push Token: Stored until you uninstall the app or disable notifications.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Our App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The App is designed as an educational tool suitable for all ages interested in ice fishing. Parents and guardians should supervise children's use of the app.

If we discover that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete that information immediately.

DATA SECURITY

We take data security seriously:

• All data transmitted to Firebase, AppMetrica, and Meta services uses industry-standard encryption (HTTPS/TLS)

• We collect only the minimum data necessary for app functionality

• No sensitive personal information is collected or stored

• Firebase, AppMetrica, and Meta infrastructure comply with industry security standards

YOUR CHOICES AND RIGHTS

You have control over your data:

• Push Notifications: Disable in your device settings (Settings → Apps → Ice Fishing → Notifications)

• Advertising ID: Reset or delete your GAID in device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Delete advertising ID)

• Limit Ad Tracking: Enable "Opt out of Ads Personalization" in your device settings to limit use of GAID for advertising

• Analytics: While you cannot opt-out of Firebase Analytics, AppMetrica, or Meta SDK directly in the app, you can limit ad tracking in your device settings as described above

• Data Deletion: Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored data. Analytics data is automatically deleted according to each provider's retention policies

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

This App uses the following third-party services:

• Google Firebase (Analytics, Cloud Messaging, Firestore)

• Yandex AppMetrica (mobile analytics)

• Meta SDK (advertising attribution and analytics)

We do not use any other third-party advertising networks or data brokers. We do not sell, rent, or share your data with third parties for marketing purposes.

CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or services. Any changes will be reflected in the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.

For significant changes, we may notify you through in-app notifications or update announcements.
