We are a group of biologists with a background in the Ecology of terrestrial and marine environments and with interests in the interactions of climate, ecosystems and biodiversity. Focusing on microbial communities, our main goal is to understand the response of ecosystem functioning to ongoing global change by combining field campaigns, satellite products and modeling. To carry out our research, we have national and international collaborations, as well as funding resources
Federico sampling marine water with a rosette of Niskin bottles onboard the research vessel "Bernardo Houssay".
We use remote sensing products for acquiring relevant information from both terrestrial and marine ecosystem.
We construct statistical models based on observations and we also make use of outputs from numerical models.
