The ICDHS New Delhi is scheduled for October 2025, at the Lecture Hall Complex, Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi). Situated in South Delhi, IIT Delhi is centrally located near the Hauz Khas area. Although daytime temperatures in October are mild, evenings can be significantly cooler, so attendees are advised to bring warm clothing. The campus's central location provides convenient access to heritage sites, culinary establishments, and contemporary attractions.
IIT Delhi is approximately 10km from the airport, reachable in 15-20 minutes by taxi at a fare of approximately Rs. 350-500. The Delhi Railway station, located about 11km away, can be reached in 25-30 minutes with a similar cab fare. Hazrat Nizamuddin, approximately 13km away, is well-connected through cab and auto services. Delhi boasts an extensive Metro network, accessible from both the airport and railway stations.

The Indian Institute of Technology Delhi (IIT Delhi), established as one of the initial five IITs for training, research, and development in science, engineering, and technology in India, is now recognized as an "Institute of Eminence" having the authority to determine its academic policy, conduct examinations, and confer degrees.
Since its establishment in 1961, over 48,000 students have graduated from IIT Delhi across various disciplines, including Engineering, Physical Science, Management, Humanities and Social Sciences, Design, and Policy. Among them, nearly 5,070 have earned PhD degrees, while the remainder have obtained master's degrees in engineering, science, and business administration. The Department of Design (DoD) at IIT Delhi was established with a vision of providing an open environment for Design learning, Design Research and Design practice. The department engages with the learners through courses that foster creativity for design within a unique ecosystem of subject expertise, technical support, and research facilities from various academic units of IIT Delhi.
The Department offers B.Des., M.Des. & Ph.D. programs for aspiring students. The long-standing M.Des program has focussed on providing expertise in design through interdisciplinary studies in various domains of design and responded to actors such as culture, innovation, and technology. The Department offers an eight-semester B.Des. program in which the students can navigate their way into the specialization of their choice after building a holistic foundation in the foundation years. The department's diverse faculty pool addresses the learners' interests, viewpoints and expectations. The host city, the capital of India, New Delhi, offers a unique locational advantage to the learners on campus to collaborate with critical actors in society, institutions and industry.
