# iCardly Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how iCardly (the “App”), developed by Rubén García Figueroa (“we,” “us,” or “the developer”), handles information when you use the App.
## 1. Summary
- iCardly does not require an account or login.
- User-created card, membership, coupon, receipt, and warranty information is stored locally on the device in the current version of the App.
- We do not operate a backend database containing your saved cards or documents.
- The App contains no advertising, third-party analytics, tracking SDKs, or App Tracking Transparency request.
- We do not sell or rent personal information.
- Camera recognition is performed on the device using Apple frameworks.
- Optional network requests are limited to the services described below.
## 2. Information You Choose to Store
iCardly lets you create and store information such as:
- Gift-card and loyalty-card details, including store name, card number, barcode or QR value, balance, PIN, expiry date, notes, and card photographs.
- Membership-card details, including organization name, membership number, tier, points, and expiry date.
- Coupon details, including store, discount, code, expiry date, minimum purchase amount, notes, and optional images.
- Warranty and receipt details, including product name, store, purchase date, warranty period, serial number, amount paid, notes, service history, and optional receipt images.
- App preferences, notification settings, profile display name, and interface settings.
In the currently submitted version, this content is stored locally on your device. It is not uploaded to servers operated by the developer.
Please avoid storing information that you do not have permission to use. iCardly is intended to organize cards and documents that belong to you or that you are authorized to manage.
## 3. No iCardly Account
iCardly does not provide or require an account system. We do not ask you to register with an email address, password, social-network account, or phone number. Because no iCardly account is created, there is no account-deletion process.
You can delete individual items inside the App or use **Profile > Delete All My Data** to remove locally stored user content and preferences.
## 4. Camera and On-Device Recognition
If you choose to scan a gift card, loyalty card, membership card, receipt, or warranty document, iCardly requests access to the camera.
Camera images may be used to:
- Capture the front and back of a card.
- Detect text, card numbers, barcodes, and QR codes.
- Extract colors or other visible card information.
- Read relevant information from a receipt or warranty document.
Recognition is performed on the device using Apple technologies such as AVFoundation and Vision. Images you decide to save are stored locally as part of your App data. The developer does not receive those images.
You can deny or revoke camera access at any time in **iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Camera**. Manual entry remains available without camera access.
## 5. Photos
When you choose to attach an existing image, iCardly uses Apple’s system photo picker. The App receives only the image or images you explicitly select. It does not request unrestricted access to your entire photo library.
Selected images are stored locally with the related card, coupon, receipt, or warranty record.
## 6. Notifications
iCardly may request permission to send local notifications after you save an item with an expiry date or enable a reminder feature.
Notifications can remind you about:
- Expiring gift-card balances.
- Expiring loyalty points or memberships.
- Expiring coupons.
- Warranty expiry dates.
- Other reminders configured inside the App.
These reminders are scheduled on the device using Apple UserNotifications. The developer does not operate a push-notification server and does not receive the notification content.
You can change notification permission in **iOS Settings > Notifications > iCardly** and adjust reminder options inside the App.
## 7. Location and Nearby-Store Search
The optional iCardly Pro proximity feature may request **Location While Using the App**.
When this feature is used:
- Apple Core Location provides a one-time location while the App is open.
- iCardly uses Apple MapKit to request nearby points of interest.
- Nearby business names are compared with store names already saved in the App.
- The developer does not receive, store, sell, or use your location for advertising or tracking.
Apple may process the MapKit request, including location and technical network information, under Apple’s privacy terms. iCardly does not request continuous background location or “Always” location access.
You can deny or revoke location access at any time in **iOS Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > iCardly**. The App’s manual card-management features continue to work without location access.
## 8. NFC
iCardly can write a saved card identifier to a compatible NFC tag, keychain fob, or sticker when you explicitly start that action.
The NFC operation occurs between your device and the tag you choose. The developer does not receive the NFC payload. You are responsible for confirming that the tag belongs to you and that writing the selected identifier is appropriate and permitted.
## 9. iCardly Pro Subscription
iCardly offers an optional auto-renewable subscription called iCardly Pro.
Purchases, renewals, entitlement verification, subscription management, and restoration are processed by Apple through StoreKit and the App Store. The developer does not receive or store your payment-card number, Apple Account password, or complete billing details.
Apple may provide the App with verified transaction and entitlement information required to unlock Pro features, such as the product identifier and subscription status. Apple handles this information according to its own privacy policies.
## 10. External Services
### Apple services
iCardly uses Apple platform services including StoreKit, Core Location, MapKit, UserNotifications, AVFoundation, Vision, the system photo picker, and NFC frameworks to provide the functions described in this policy.
### Frankfurter exchange-rate API
iCardly may request daily reference exchange rates from the Frankfurter API at `frankfurter.dev` to calculate cross-currency summaries.
The request contains currency codes needed for the calculation. It does not include your card number, PIN, barcode, balance, receipt image, warranty document, profile name, or precise location. As with a normal internet request, the provider may receive technical network information such as an IP address.
### Hunter logo service
iCardly may request a retailer logo image from `logos.hunter.io` using the retailer’s public website domain. The request does not include saved card numbers, PINs, balances, barcodes, receipt images, warranty documents, or your profile name.
As with a normal internet request, the service may receive technical network information such as an IP address. If a logo is unavailable, the App can display a locally generated brand representation instead.
### Google Sites
This Privacy Policy is hosted on Google Sites. Google may use cookies or process technical information when you visit the policy webpage, as disclosed by Google on that page. Visiting the Privacy Policy website is separate from using the locally stored content inside iCardly.
## 11. Advertising, Analytics, Tracking, and AI
iCardly does not include:
- Advertising or advertising SDKs.
- Third-party analytics SDKs.
- Cross-app or cross-website tracking.
- Data brokers.
- App Tracking Transparency requests.
- External artificial-intelligence services that receive your cards, receipts, images, or documents.
We do not create advertising profiles and do not sell or rent personal information.
## 12. Sharing and Exporting
iCardly may let you export or share a card image, card information, receipt, warranty document, or generated file through Apple’s system share sheet.
Nothing is shared unless you start the action and choose a destination. Once you share information with another app, person, or service, its handling is governed by the recipient’s privacy practices. Review the content carefully before sharing, especially if it contains a card number, PIN, barcode, receipt, or other sensitive information.
## 13. Data Retention and Deletion
User-created content remains on the device until you:
- Delete an individual item.
- Use **Profile > Delete All My Data**.
- Remove the App and its local data from the device.
iCardly does not operate a developer-controlled backend database containing your saved cards, receipts, coupons, memberships, or warranties in the currently submitted version.
Your App Store subscription entitlement is maintained by Apple. Deleting local App data or removing the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription. You can manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings.
## 14. Security
iCardly uses Apple platform storage and security mechanisms available to iOS applications. However, no method of storage is completely risk-free. Protect your device with a passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, keep iOS updated, and avoid sharing sensitive card information unnecessarily.
iCardly is an organizer and does not replace the security controls, terms, or support services of a card issuer, retailer, membership organization, or warranty provider.
## 15. Children’s Privacy
iCardly is not designed to collect personal information from children and does not provide social networking, public profiles, behavioral advertising, or direct messaging.
The App is intended to organize cards and documents chosen by the device owner. Parents and guardians should supervise a child’s use of card numbers, receipts, warranties, location features, and subscriptions.
## 16. International and Regional Use
iCardly’s core organization features are intended to operate consistently across supported regions. Availability and results from services such as the App Store, Apple Maps, retailer logos, and exchange rates may vary by country, network availability, language, currency, or service-provider coverage.
## 17. Your Choices
You can:
- Use manual entry instead of the camera.
- Deny or revoke camera, notification, or location permissions, and choose not to use NFC writing.
- Edit or delete saved items.
- Delete all locally stored App data from Profile.
- Choose whether to export or share information.
- Manage or cancel iCardly Pro through Apple’s subscription settings.
- Stop using the App and remove it from your device.
## 18. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when the App’s features, services, or legal requirements change. The “Last updated” date will be revised when material changes are published.
If a future version enables cloud synchronization, a developer-operated backend, analytics, advertising, or another material data practice, this policy will be updated before or when that functionality becomes available.
