ICACS21 Proceedings (ITM Web of Conferences)

1st International Conference of Applied Computing & Smart Cities (ICACS21) welcomes researchers to submit papers field of Applied Computing and Smart Cities. The conference will be held in the City of Erbil, Iraq.

Cities stand to benefit the most from connecting people, process, data, and things. A Smart City exploits sustainable information and communication technologies to improve quality of life, health, education, and also the performance of urban services for citizens.

The Internet of Everything (IoE) has witnessed rapid progress in recent years. This technology provides Internet connectivity between objects and cyber space. In order to promote the rapid deployment of this technology, hardware manufacturing, software industry and networking capabilities are acting as game changers.

Smart Cities bring together the IoE technology and city infrastructure for better quality of life in areas such as energy usage, healthcare, environment, water, transportation, etc. IoE large scale deployment enables data sensing, data acquisition and heterogeneous networking. The connectivity of billions of IoE devices opens many security vulnerabilities and threats that must be detected and mitigated. There is a significant interest to enable Artificial Intelligence (AI) techniques – that incorporate meta-heuristics, machine learning and optimization algorithms for intelligent IoE communications and networking management.

The conference is to take place at Knowledge University campus in the city of Erbil, Iraq. However, due to the COVID19 restrictions remote participation via video conferencing is also possible.

Accepted papers will be published in a conference proceeding book with indexing by ITM Web of Conferences: DOI with Crossref, Clarivate Analytics, DOAJ, ProQuest and others (click on the logos below to see indexing at ITM).
