This project was completed as a final assignment in an English course, where students were asked to write an essay of at least 700 words on a self-chosen topic, either expository or argumentative. The writer selected an expository essay titled “Will the Farmer Disappear in the Future?”, inspired by a personal concern over the decreasing amount of farmland and the simple fact of enjoying food.
The essay was structured into five paragraphs, following an outline that presented the issue, discussed key arguments, and concluded with a reflection. With references drawn solely from news articles, the work primarily represented the writer’s personal opinions and observations.
The essay highlighted three main points: that farming is often considered the least appealing job because of its tiring workload, low income, and lack of prestige. Despite these challenges, the piece emphasized the significance of farmers and raised awareness of their role in the future of food security.
