I am a fifth year PhD student at Purdue University. My area of research is Operator Algebras. (Currently) I am trying to realize which C*-algebras have a nice finite dimensional approximation property called quasidiagonality, as well as for which (non torsion free) groups, the (full) group C*-algebra has many projections. My advisor is Marius Dadarlat.
I am from Greece, and more specifically I grew up in Kalamata (see picture on research tab). Before coming to the United States, I did my undergrad in the National and Kapodistrian university of Athens.
When I am not doing math, I enjoy playing football (not the american one!), chess, as well as hiking. On cold days, I like reading books (especially crime fiction ones) and watching movies from all over the world.
