The forum focused on classroom feedback practices and the growing impact of English Medium Instruction (EMI).
The first presentation was delivered by Prof. Rahmah Fithriani, S.S., M.Hum., Ph.D. from UIN Sumatera Utara, titled “Oral Feedback in EFL Classrooms: Changes in Indonesian Madrasah Teachers’ Beliefs and Practices.” Prof. Rahmah discussed the evolution of oral feedback strategies and how teachers' beliefs are aligning more closely with student-centered pedagogy. The session was moderated by Hanung Triyoko, Ph.D., who guided the discussion with thoughtful engagement and questions from the audience.
The second session, “I Now Use More English When Teaching: Investigating the Effects of the ELTT Program on EMI Practices,” was authored by Prof. Siti Nurul Azkiyah, M.Sc., Ph.D. from UIN Syarif Hidayatullah. Although Prof. Nurul was unable to attend the live session, her presentation was shared via a pre-recorded video and played by her co-author Waliyadin Nuridin. Prof. Dr. Dedi Irwansyah (UIN Metro) moderated this session and facilitated a discussion around the practical implications of the findings.
As always, the forum was open to educators and researchers nationwide and offered a free certificate for all participants. The event was hosted via Zoom, with updates and access shared through the IARELTII WhatsApp group.
