Latia Gray was born and raised in a small town outside of Nashville, where her ancestors were enslaved at what was once the largest tobacco plantation. Springfield, Tennessee, has been her home for the majority of her life, outside of the three years spent in Memphis TN. During her few years between Holly Spring, MS and Memphis, TN, she had her first gifted and beautiful daughter Tramiya Scott, and four years later, birthing her second creative and loving daughter Ziri Gray.
Although she did not complete college, she spent two years at Rust College studying elementary education, and later attended Strayer University studying business management. Latia was raised to work hard and never quit! As a child, her first paid job was parking cars, which taught her endurance and how to stand up for herself. She then went to leading teams of twenty by the time she was 23 and being promoted to production planner within a year! (not even realizing her potential then) From there, she decided to switch gears and get out of the warehouse working lifestyle and went on to work as a data analyst and starting her own businesses. Although her occupations range far and wide, her heart always remained connected to the community, where she also volunteers as a youth coach, was a BIG for Big Brothers Big Sisters, and board member of the Bransford Community Center. As a business owner, she would say her business is “All that and a bag of Chips”. Make A Definite Effect LLC, in short, is a service where you can rent a business/personal assistant. The business involves supporting other businesses that are in the developing or rebranding stages through connections and resources, marketing assistance, and networking in a more convenient way that could save a business owner time and effort. MadE LLC also supports its local community and those seeking to enhance their personal life. MadE focuses on the African American culture for the purpose of giving more exposure to all the black excellence, from the known and unknown, so that her community could be who they could see. MadE people look like ME.
Latia’s mission in life is to constantly evolve and embrace the changes that life brings, learn as much as she can, and vow to always act as her highest self. Coming from the environment of a small town, Tia knew there was more to life and strives to continuously create safe spaces so that she may be the change she wished to see. She understands that no matter the person’s race or age, every living thing serves a purpose; and, as they cross her path, they come to serve a purpose in her life, as she does to theirs. That purpose is to not only see people in the physical, but spiritual and/or energetic realm, as well as, no matter how bad things may seem to be, always lead with love, and be love.
