Antwanette Boykin

Antwanette Boykin is a 29-year-old spunky resident of the capital of Alabama. She is the daughter of David and Evelyn Boykin, the oldest of her parent’s two children and sibling to David M. Boykin. She graduated High School from Sidney Lanier High School, home of the Poets, in 2009. Antwanette decided to further her education by attending Stillman College in Tuscaloosa Alabama where she completed general studies from January 2010-May 2012, in hopes to begin a journey to the Nursing Program. In May of 2012 plans changed, which led Antwanette back to Montgomery to Troy University. During her matriculation at Troy, Antwanette found joy in Sociology and Psychology courses which encouraged a change in her area of study. Antwanette later graduated in December of 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Psychology- General Education, Minor in Sociology. While pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree, Antwanette accomplished her childhood dream to teach. For 3 consecutive school terms, August 2015-May 2018 Antwanette inspired her Kindergarten students to become leaders and embrace their own individuality. Teaching ignited her passion of helping others and was also a major accomplishment for her, but she knew there was more that God required of her. Antwanette answered the call to serve Montgomery’s citizens by becoming a case manager with the Department of Human Resources in the fall of 2018. Through the JOBS program, Antwanette provided clients the opportunities of obtaining and retaining a job by giving access to open positions, childcare, transportation and a host of other services, all while encouraging her clients to become self- sufficient. When Antwanette is not on the clock, she is busy being an active member of Tau Rho Mu Christian Sorority INC founded in October 2017 by Dr. Tammie McCurry. Antwanette serves as the National Life Events Coordinator, helping to celebrate her Sorors and all of their successes and standing in prayer with them when life tosses unfortunate events their way. Antwanette is also a first-time author who plans to bring about more literature in the near future. Antwanette remains positive that nothing shall be impossible with God.
