I am having the same installtion problem. After a successful install of 3Ds, I tried to install inventor 2011 x64 and after it indicated a sucessful download of the 3 parts it failed with a CRC on the unpack. The download had to be interrupted due to a wireless network signal being broken in the middle of the download after about an hour and a half. But it seemed to pick up OK and finish the download OK later. I suspect a single error got introduced when the initial download occured most likely on part 2 of 3 of the download.
I can't seem to find an akamai folder but there are dozens of files in the AutoCAD folder under an AutoCad inventor suite subfolder. It has about 6.5 Gbytes in it. There is also an "inventor" subfolder in the Documents folder. It contains a "Content Center Folder. " Is that what I need to delete?
