Following the successful first edition of the workshop of “Intelligent Applications for Industrial Systems” at IJCNN 2025, this second edition expands the focus to explore the challenges and opportunities brought by advanced AI-based models including large-scale neural architectures in industrial domains. The workshop remains aligned with IJCNN’s core themes, especially the intersection of neural network models, cognitive modelling, and real-world applications.
This edition emphasizes the integration of advanced AI-based models e.g., large-scale neural networks— such as foundation models and transformer-based systems—into industrial systems. These models are transforming intelligent system design in areas like computer vision, decision support, autonomous control, and predictive maintenance, with applications in smart manufacturing, autonomous vehicles, healthcare, energy systems, and digital twins. This aligns closely with IJCNN topics on neural network applications in manufacturing, hybrid intelligent systems, and embedded neural systems.
We invite contributions addressing scalability, interpretability, domain adaptation, safety, and deployment of large neural systems in industrial contexts. The workshop offers a platform to share best practices, novel architectures, and case studies, and to explore how neural networks can bridge cognitive inspiration and practical industrial intelligence.
