Design a pyramidal horn antenna centered at 8.0 GHz
This project involved the design and electromagnetic simulation of an air-filled pyramidal horn antenna operating at 8 GHz. A WR-90 rectangular waveguide was used as the feed, and CST Microwave Studio was employed to optimize the horn geometry and evaluate impedance matching, radiation patterns, directivity, and efficiency.

Design a pyramidal horn antenna centered at 8 GHz with a target gain above 15 dBi.
Achieve good impedance matching using a WR-90 waveguide feed.
Evaluate antenna efficiency and directivity at the operating frequency.
Achieved excellent impedance matching with S11 ≈ −28.7 dB and VSWR ≈ 1.08 at 8 GHz.
Obtained a realized gain of approximately 18 dBi, exceeding the design target.
Achieved radiation efficiency of approximately 99.5%, indicating minimal losses.
