I am Hyunwoo Lee, a PhD candidate in the Grado Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering at Virginia Tech, under the supervision of Dr. Robert Hildebrand and Dr. Esra Toy.
My research develops operations research and game-theoretic methods for constrained decision-making in multi-agent systems. I design scalable algorithms (e.g., cutting planes, primal heuristics, decomposition) to compute stable and high-performing solutions, motivated by operations and supply chain applications including aquatic invasive species prevention, routing/network optimization, and healthcare matching.
More broadly, I am interested in multi-stakeholder operations management problems and developing integrated methodologies that combine optimization, game theory, and data-driven approaches.
I received my B.S. in Industrial and Management Engineering from Korea University, and my M.Eng. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from Virginia Tech.
