Hello! I'm Hyunsun Kang, a Visiting Scholar & Courtesy Assistant Professor in the Department of Geological Sciences at the University of Florida. I specialize in seismic imaging of our planet using dense seismic array data. With a Ph.D. in Earth and Environmental Sciences from Seoul National University, my academic journey has been focused on understanding the structure and evolution of the Earth's crust and upper mantle.

I am interested in unraveling the lithosphere-asthenosphere system using seismic imaging techniques, and studying mantle flow through seismic anisotropy. Additionally, I have interest in marine seismology, leveraging ocean bottom seismometers to advance our understanding of the dynamic processes ocurring beneath the Earth's surface.

This website provides an overview of my academic journey, encompassing my educational background and research experience. Feel free to explore my publications, projects, and collaborations in the field of Earth and Environmental Sciences.
