Welcome! I am an environmental economist and Research Fellow at the Korea Environment Institute (KEI). Before joining KEI, I earned a Ph.D. in Economics and Agricultural, Food, and Resource Economics from Michigan State University and an M.A. in Economics from the University of Texas at Austin.
My research focuses on the economics of biodiversity, natural capital, and environmental sustainability. I study how environmental values can be measured, incorporated into economic institutions, and translated into effective policy decisions. My work spans natural capital accounting, ecosystem service valuation, biodiversity finance, sustainability disclosure, and environmental behavior, drawing on applied econometrics, nonmarket valuation, and experimental methods. Through this research, I aim to bridge economic theory and environmental policy to support more sustainable and resilient societies.
