Hyung Gyu Lee


I received my Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Engineering from Seoul National University, Seoul, Korea, 2007. He was a senior engineer with Samsung Electronics from 2007 to 2010. He also worked as a research faculty with the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, GA, from 2010 to 2012. Currently he is an associate professor with the Department of Software, Duksung Women’s University, Korea.

    • System-level energy reduction

  • Storage systems (Non-volatile memory)

    • SSD, NAND Flash memory and PCM (Phase Change Memory) based storage design
    • Controller and system software design (file system, Flash Translation layer)
  • Computer architecture

    • Accelerated computing on GPU and MPPAs (Massively Parallel Processing Arrays)
    • SoC design (on-chip communication architecture and FPGA prototyping)
