Miss Vinhteang Kaing is a Mater of Engineering and currently be a PhD student in the field of Environmental Engineering at Tokyo Institute of Technology under MEXT scholarship. She is the alumnus of Faculty of Hydrology of Institute of Technology of Cambodia.

Now, she is doing research about photochemistry of microplastics in the aquatic environment. She also works on eutrophication control, sediment, and nutrients dynamic and assessment of lake and river. She has developed a method for eutrophication control of the lake through determination maximum permissible phosphorus. During the study, she has been working with national and international projects with related topics of water quality assessment, river and lake basin management, and climate change adaptation
