Hydro Buddy (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our drink-water reminder and hydration tracking features.
1. No Internet Connection – All Data Stored Locally
Hydro Buddy operates entirely on your device.
The App does not require an internet connection to function.
All hydration records, reminders, and settings are stored locally on your device only.
We do not upload, transfer, share, or synchronize any data to external servers.
We do not collect analytics, personal identifiers, or behavioral information.
Your hydration data belongs to you and stays on your device at all times.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
Hydro Buddy does not collect or process:
Personal identity information (name, email, phone number, address)
Health or fitness data outside the hydration information you manually store
Location information
Device or usage analytics
Cookies or tracking technologies
Since we do not collect any personal data, we also do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties.
3. Data You Store in the App
The App may store the following information locally on your device:
Daily water intake logs
Hydration goals
Reminder schedules
Cup size preferences
App settings
This information is used solely to enable core functions of the App and is never transmitted elsewhere.
4. Children and Minors’ Privacy
We value the safety of young users.
Hydro Buddy does not knowingly collect any personal data from children under the age of 13 (or the age defined by local law).
Since the App does not collect or transmit data, children’s information always stays on the local device.
If a child uses the App, all hydration data is stored only on that device and cannot be accessed by us.
Parents or guardians are encouraged to supervise app usage if necessary.
If you believe a minor has provided personal information directly to us (which is technically impossible due to no data collection), you may contact us for clarification.
5. Permissions
Hydro Buddy may request access to the following local permissions solely for app functionality:
Notifications: to send drink-water reminders.
No other sensitive permissions are required.
The App does not access contacts, photos, location, media, device identity, or any protected data.
6. Security
Although Hydro Buddy does not transmit or store data externally, we still take your privacy seriously.
All data stays on your device, protected by your operating system’s built-in security.
For additional security, you may enable device-level protections such as passcode, biometric lock, or system encryption.
7. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect updates in app functionality or legal requirements.
Any changes will be displayed within the App. Continued use after changes means that you accept the updated policy.
