If you want a versatile, pocketable charger for your JBL ecosystem that prioritizes safety and compactness, choose Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging; if you need a longer reach to charge Sony headphones or speakers from across the room, choose FTUINL 6FT. This isn't about which one is "better" in a vacuum, but which tool fits your specific charging setup and lifestyle habits. I've looked at the specs, the design intent, and the real-world implications of cable length and compatibility, and the choice becomes clear once you know what you are trying to power. Whether you are prepping gear for a day at the pool with best ear clip headphones for swimming or just keeping your audio devices topped up on the couch, these two options serve different masters.
• Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: Its greatest strength is its ultra-wide compatibility with the entire JBL lineup (from portable Flips to massive Charge speakers) and its UL-certified safety features; the trade-off is a shorter 3.9-foot cord that requires you to be closer to the outlet.
• FTUINL 6FT: Its biggest advantage is the generous 6.6-foot cable length that gives you flexibility to charge while moving around, specifically tailored for Sony's headphone and speaker range; the trade-off is a narrower focus that excludes many popular JBL models.
• Who is this for? The Hyacinyh is for the JBL loyalist who travels light and values safety certifications, while the FTUINL is for the Sony user who needs distance and speed without hunting for an extension cord.
The Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging unit is clearly engineered for the person who lives inside the JBL ecosystem. If you own a JBL Flip, Charge, Pulse, or Clip series speaker, or perhaps some of their newer TWS earbuds like the Vibe Beam or Endurance Peak series, this is the charger designed specifically for your hardware. This level of specificity suggests it wasn't just thrown together as a generic adapter; it was built to integrate seamlessly with the charging ports found on these specific units.
One of the most compelling aspects of this charger is its focus on safety and portability. It is tested to comply with the UL 62368-1 Safety Standard, which covers over-current, over-voltage, short-circuit, and overheating protection. In a world where cheap chargers can sometimes fry delicate electronics, knowing that your device has multiple layers of defense against power surges is a genuine peace of mind feature. This makes it an excellent choice for anyone who wants to leave their expensive audio gear charging overnight without worrying about potential damage. Furthermore, the compact, lightweight design (weighing only 0.05 kg) means it disappears easily into a bag or pocket. You aren't lugging around a bulky brick when you head out for a hike or a swim.
However, this product is not for everyone. The primary limitation is the cable length. At 3.9 feet (approximately 1.2 meters), you will find yourself tethered to the wall or sitting directly next to your power strip. If your charging spot is far from an outlet, or if you prefer to charge your headphones while lying down on a bed several feet away, this cord will feel restrictive. Additionally, if you do not own JBL products, this charger loses much of its value proposition, even though it claims universal Type-C compatibility. It shines brightest when paired with the specific devices it was designed for, offering fast charging speeds up to 20W that significantly reduce wait times compared to standard adapters.

On the other side of the aisle, the FTUINL 6FT cable set is built for a different kind of user: the Sony enthusiast who values freedom of movement. If your daily drivers are Sony WH-1000XM4s, XM5s, or any of their mid-range CH series headphones, this charger is a perfect match. It also handles the SRS XB100 and XG300 speakers, as well as the new ULT Field series. The standout feature here is undeniably the length. With a total length of approximately 6.6 feet (2 meters), this cable transforms how you interact with your charging routine. You can charge your headphones while sitting on the sofa across the room, plug them in from under a nightstand, or even take the cable with you to the gym locker room without straining the connection.
The performance specifications are equally impressive for this use case. The FTUINL delivers 20W of power output, which the data indicates allows earbuds to charge from 0% to 80% in roughly 30 minutes. This is a significant upgrade over the slower 5V/1A chargers that often come bundled with budget audio gear. The package includes both the long cable and a dedicated 20W USB-C charger block, meaning you get a complete solution right out of the box rather than just a wire that needs a separate power source. This "all-in-one" approach is convenient for travelers or anyone who doesn't want to dig through a drawer to find a compatible wall adapter.
That said, the FTUINL is less versatile regarding brand compatibility. While it works with standard Type-C devices, its marketing and feature list are heavily weighted toward Sony products. If you are deep in the JBL camp, this might not offer the same level of targeted optimization as the Hyacinyh option. Also, the sheer length of the cable, while liberating, can make it slightly more cumbersome to pack if you are strictly minimizing luggage volume. It is less about being "pocket-sized" and more about being "room-ready." It is ideal for someone who wants to charge their audio gear while using it, rather than having to sit perfectly still at a desk to keep the cord taut.
• Best for JBL Ecosystem Owners → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: The compatibility list is unmatched for JBL speakers and earbuds, ensuring a secure fit and optimized charging protocol for your specific devices.
• Best for Sony Headphone Users → FTUINL 6FT: Specifically tailored for the WH-1000XM series and SRS speakers, offering a direct match for Sony's power requirements and form factors.
• Best for Long Reach and Flexibility → FTUINL 6FT: The 6.6-foot length allows you to charge from across the room, making it superior for bedside or living room setups where outlets are scarce.
• Best for Travel and Portability → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: The lighter weight and shorter, neater cord make it easier to slip into a small bag without tangling or taking up excessive space.
• Best for Safety Certifications → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: Explicitly mentions compliance with UL 62368-1 standards, providing a verified layer of protection against electrical hazards.
• Best for Complete Kit Value → FTUINL 6FT: Comes with both the long cable and the 20W charger block included, whereas the Hyacinyh focuses on the cable and adapter integration.
• Best for Fast Charging Speeds → Both: Both units support 20W output, so you won't lose time waiting for your battery to fill up regardless of which you pick.
• Best for Swimming Gear Prep → Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging: The compact size and robust safety features make it ideal for packing alongside waterproof audio gear for quick top-ups before a swim.
After weighing the design philosophies and technical specifications of both options, I would personally choose the Hyacinyh USB Charger Charging for my daily carry. The combination of UL safety certification and its specialized compatibility with the JBL lineup gives me confidence that my gear is protected during those long charging cycles. The shorter cord is actually a plus for me because it keeps my workspace tidy and prevents the cable from dragging across the floor, a common annoyance with longer wires. However, if you are looking for best multipoint bluetooth headset for swimming scenarios where you need to charge waterproof gear quickly and safely in a compact package, this is the safer bet. Conversely, if you live in a large house and hate hunting for power strips, the FTUINL's extra length solves a problem the Hyacinyh simply cannot address. Ultimately, the Hyacinyh feels like the more refined, safety-conscious tool for the serious audio enthusiast, especially when considering the reliability needed for outdoor activities.
Yes, the Hyacinyh model includes built-in protections against over-current, over-voltage, and overheating, and it complies with UL 62368-1 safety standards, making it suitable for unattended charging.
Yes, the FTUINL package comes with both the 6.6-foot USB-C cable and a 20W USB-C charger block, so you have a complete charging solution ready to use immediately.
For travel, the Hyacinyh is likely better due to its lighter weight (0.05 kg) and shorter, more compact cable that takes up less space in a backpack compared to the longer FTUINL cord.
