If you want deep bass, studio-grade monitoring for drummers, and a rugged design with a 3-meter cable for practice, choose HXW DMH10; if you need a lightweight, USB-C wired solution specifically tailored for modern devices like tablets or newer laptops for a kid's study setup, choose ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones.
• HXW DMH10: Its biggest strength is the powerful 50mm neodymium driver designed for immersive, deep bass and professional monitoring, but it relies on a standard 3.5mm jack rather than modern USB-C connectivity.
• ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones: Its standout feature is the direct USB-C plug for instant compatibility with current gadgets and its incredibly light build, though it lacks the extended frequency response and heavy-duty cable length of the HXW.
• Who this is for: The HXW DMH10 is ideal for musicians, drummers, or audio enthusiasts who prioritize sound isolation and raw power, while the ADOOPE fits students and casual listeners who need a simple, portable connection for studying or media consumption.
The HXW DMH10 is not just another pair of headphones; it is engineered with a specific purpose in mind: capturing the full dynamic range of electric instruments and providing clear, isolated sound for serious listening. If you are looking for rotatable ear cups bluetooth headphones (though these are wired), the DMH10 offers a mechanical versatility that serves practical needs. The earcups can flip 180 degrees, allowing you to monitor one side while keeping the other open—a crucial feature for drummers who need to hear their own playing alongside the recorded track or for anyone working in a shared space where situational awareness matters.
At the heart of this device lies a 50mm neodymium driver, which is significantly larger than what you often find in standard consumer headphones. This size difference translates directly into performance. This means the headphones are capable of reproducing the deepest sub-bass notes of an electric drum kit without sounding weak or anemic. For someone practicing in a noisy apartment or a garage, the closed-back design provides excellent passive noise cancellation, effectively sealing out distractions so you can focus entirely on the music.
Comfort is another pillar of the HXW DMH10's design philosophy. The headband and earcups are described as broad and thickly cushioned, suggesting they are built to withstand long sessions without causing fatigue. When you combine this with the included 3-meter OFC (oxygen-free copper) cable, you gain a level of freedom that short cables simply cannot offer. You can stand up, move around your practice area, or walk across a room without being tethered by a frustratingly short wire. This makes it an excellent choice for active users who need their equipment to keep up with their movement.

However, this product is not for everyone. It is a wired headset with a standard 3.5mm jack, requiring a snap-on 1/4-inch adapter for certain keyboards or guitars. If your primary device is a modern tablet or laptop that only has USB-C ports and no headphone jack, you will need an adapter to make this work. Furthermore, while the "lightweight" claim suggests portability, the inclusion of a 3-meter cable and robust construction means it is heavier and bulkier than a slim travel headphone. It is best suited for adults or older children who are dedicated to music practice, recording, or those who demand high-fidelity audio reproduction from a wired source.
The ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones take a different approach, focusing on simplicity, modern connectivity, and ease of use for a younger demographic. The most striking aspect of these headphones is the direct USB-C connector. In an era where many smartphones, tablets, and Chromebooks have abandoned the traditional 3.5mm audio jack, this feature eliminates the need for dongles or adapters. For a student setting up a desk for homework or online classes, plugging in a USB-C headphone is as straightforward as connecting a charger. This makes it arguably the best with mic headphone for studying scenarios where a quick, reliable connection is needed without fumbling with multiple adapters.
The design prioritizes a comfortable fit that accommodates various head sizes without adding unnecessary weight. With a listed weight of 0.25 kg, these headphones are notably lighter than many competitors in the over-ear category. This reduced mass is significant for children or anyone sensitive to pressure on the top of their head during long study sessions. The ear cushions are designed to be flexible, and the headband adjusts to ensure a secure fit. While the data does not specify a rotating mechanism like the HXW, the overall build suggests a focus on everyday wearability rather than studio-specific maneuvering.
Audio quality here is tuned for clarity and isolation rather than extreme frequency extension. The frequency response is listed as 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, which covers the entire audible spectrum for humans perfectly. For listening to podcasts, audiobooks, or standard streaming music, this range is more than sufficient. The "sound isolation" provided by the ear cups helps block out ambient noise, creating a focused environment for learning. However, because the driver technology and frequency range are standard rather than extended, the bass response may feel less punchy compared to the 50mm drivers found in the HXW model. It delivers Hi-Fi stereo sound, but it is optimized for convenience and balance rather than raw power.
This product is particularly well-suited for a kid who needs a durable yet gentle pair of headphones for schoolwork or casual entertainment. The lack of a bag and the specific "Plum" color option adds a touch of style that appeals to younger users. The two-year warranty also stands out as a reassuring factor for parents concerned about longevity. If you are looking for best open ear headphones for glasses wearers, the soft cushions and adjustable fit likely provide a good experience, though the sealed design is technically for isolation rather than open-air listening. It is a pragmatic choice for anyone who values a direct connection and a lightweight form factor over studio-grade specifications.

After analyzing the specifications and intended use cases for both models, I would personally buy the ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones if my primary goal was to get a reliable pair of headphones for a kid. The USB-C connectivity removes the friction of finding adapters, and the lighter weight ensures that a child won't get tired wearing them for hours while doing homework or watching videos. It is a practical, modern solution that fits seamlessly into a digital-first lifestyle.
However, if I were a drummer or someone who spends time producing music, I would immediately choose the HXW DMH10. The extended frequency response and the ability to rotate the earcups for one-ear monitoring are features that simply cannot be ignored in a musical context. But for the average buyer looking for a dependable tool for a child's daily routine, the ADOOPE strikes the right balance of comfort, connectivity, and ease of use.
Yes, the ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones come with a built-in USB-C connector, making them fully compatible with modern smartphones, tablets, and laptops that lack a traditional 3.5mm port. The HXW DMH10 uses a standard 3.5mm jack and requires an adapter for such devices.
The HXW DMH10 is superior for isolation due to its rugged, closed-back design and thicker cushioning, which are specifically marketed for blocking out distractions in loud environments. The ADOOPE model offers sound isolation suitable for general study but may not block out external noise as aggressively.
Both the HXW DMH10 and the ADOOPE Over-Ear Headphones are wired headphones with no internal batteries, meaning they require no charging and will never run out of power during use. Their operation relies entirely on the physical connection to your audio source.
While the HXW DMH10 is described as lightweight (0.6 lbs), the ADOOPE model is even lighter at 0.25 kg (approximately 0.55 lbs). For a child, the ADOOPE's lower weight and simpler design might be more comfortable for long periods, whereas the HXW is better suited for older kids or adults focused on music practice.
