Welcome to my website! I am a Full Professor of Economics at the Paris Lodron University of Salzburg (PLUS), Salzburg (Austria). I am also Head of the PLUS Department of Economics, a Permanent Scientific Consultant at the Austrian Institute of Economic Research (WIFO), Vienna (Austria), and an International Research Fellow at the Oxford University Centre for Business Taxation (CBT, Saïd Business School), Oxford (UK).

My research fields are Public Economics and Health Economics, where I mainly apply microeconometric methods. I have published about 60 articles in refereed journals, including Journal of Public Economics, Journal of International Economics, European Economic Review, and Health Economics.

I am also involved in interdisciplinary research. Joint research with colleagues from medicine, sports science, political science or law has appeared in Nature Communications, Annals of Tourism Research, European Journal of Political Research, and Journal of Empirical Legal Studies, among others.
