深海熱水噴出域に分布する生物群集の生態に関する研究をしています。特に生物の多様化に興味を持っていて、生物地理・系統地理・集団遺伝解析・プランクトン幼生の飼育実験などの手法を用いて研究を進めています (少しだけ浅い海の甲殻類も研究しています)。
I am a deep-sea biologist who is working to elucidate biodiversity, biogeography, phylogeography, population genetics, and larval dispersal of deep-sea hydrothermal vent fauna (and a few shallow water crustaceans).
