FAA Recreational UAS Registration & TRUST Safety Test Guide

This guide will walk you through registering your recreational drone/RC plane with the FAA and completing the mandatory TRUST Safety Test.

Part 1: FAA Drone Registration

1. Go to: https://faadronezone-access.faa.gov/#/ 

2. Click "Create Account" - Enter your information.

3. Enter Email.

4. Verify Email.

5. Log In.

6. Click "I agree."

7. Click "Add a service."

8. Click "Select Drone Owners and Pilot service."

9. Click "Add Service."

10. Click "Launch Drone Owners and Pilots Dashboard."

11. Click "Recreational Flyer Account Box."

12. Complete Profile Page.

13. Click "Proceed to Check out."

14. Follow instructions (have credit card ready).

15. Take a picture of your card or print it. (This is your FAA Registration Card)

Part 2: Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST)

17. Take The Recreational UAS Safety Test (TRUST).

18. Go to the AMA website: https://trust.modelaircraft.org/

19. Click "Start" to take The Test.
